Microdata Checker

This tool audits your theme’s template files to identify outdated legacy formats of JSON-LD schema (microdata) and ensures that your store’s structured data remains compliant with the latest SEO best practices.

To use the Microdata Checker tool:

• Click Microdata Checker link from the AC Rich Snippets navigation from the left-hand side

• Click the Check for Microdata button to begin the scanning process.

• If the tool identifies any microdata codes in your theme files, a list of affected files will be displayed along with links to the theme editor and the part of the microdata code to follow.

• Click the icon next to the file to remove the microdata code block.

The removal process needs to be done manually, but we are working on an automated removal functionality and it will be ready soon.

We suggest running Microdata Checker after every theme upgrade/change and SEO related app installations.
